Screenplay Submission Release Form
In order for you to receive help in learning how to make a movie script, Pro Script Notes requires that you print, fill out, sign, and include our Screenplay Submission Release Form with the submission of your screenplay, treatment, synopsis, first act, pitch, or any other written materials. I will not accept any written materials without this Release Form.
Release forms, screenplays or other written documents, and check or money order payment should be sent to:
Pro Script Notes
P.O. Box 469
Wheeling, WV 26003
Electronic Submission of Screenplays and other Written Materials
If you choose to submit your screenplay or other written materials electronically (Final Draft, .pdf, or .doc formats only), you will need to send in the Release Form separately. Please note that I will not read your screenplay or provide feedback of any kind until both payment and the Release Form have been received.
Multiple Screenwriters
If two or more writers are involved in your screenwriting project, please have both/all screenwriters sign and date the Release Form.
Screenplay Registration
As I note throughout this Web site, I strongly advise you to register your screenplay before submitting it to me or anyone else inside or outside the film industry. You may register your screenplay with any of the following:
WGA – Writer's Guild of America. Located in Los Angeles, choose this branch for script registration if you live west of the Mississippi.
WGA, East – The New York branch of the WGA. Register your screenplay with this branch if you live on the eastern side of the United States.
U.S. Copyright Office – The copyrighting service of the United States. This office accepts registration of screenplays and various other types of intellectual properties.
Miscellaneous Screenplay Submission Release Form Notes
I have tried to make this Release Form as straightforward and easy to read as possible. If you have any questions about this Screenplay Submission Release Form, please feel free to contact me.
I will not intentionally release your screenplay or any other written materials to any outside third parties. Your work is private and I intend to treat it as such. The Release Form's purpose is to protect Pro Script Notes and me, Kristin Nixon-Seibert, from any claims for potential damages that may arise from lost scripts, plagiarism claims, or any other problems.
I reserve the right to refuse submission of any screenplay or other written work. You may disagree with the notes and/or advice I provide. No refunds are given.
The Release Form is saved as a .pdf file and you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open it. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can download it for free here.
If you like the help I provide to you, please refer other aspiring or professional screenwriters to me. Hundreds of screenplays are purchased each year – it's not a zero-sum game. Plus, I will give you a 10% discount on any of my screenplay services on any first subsequent order you place if your referral orders any service from me. If you refer multiple screenwriters who order services, you can receive multiple discounts, although they cannot be combined on any one order.
I appreciate your interest in my script doctor services. I look forward to helping you learn how to utilize your talents to make the best movie script possible.
